About us
At the edge of the English Lake District, where the mountains are left behind and the water from its famous lakes flows into the sea, are our design studios, workshops and showrooms. The Lake District has always been a rich source of inspiration for artisan makers, writers and artists. We are fortunate that we are able to draw upon this rich heritage – we are the craftsmen and women of The Rusland Movement.
From our humble beginnings we have been building a reputation for producing furniture of the finest quality, made in the traditional way.
We are located in our bespoke Workshop and Studio premises in Backbarrow, near the southern tip of Windermere. We encourage anyone who is interested in our furniture to take a tour of our Studio, Showrooms and Workshop. We like to take the time to understand your particular interest in what we do and to ensure you are comfortable with our whole process and approach. Please accept our open invitation to drop in and see for yourself.
Everything we produce is an original design and starts life in our design studio.
